Knifes

  • Knife Block – Build your own block is the way to go long term. Buy them all now or spread the cost out over time. This block actually has the slots to fit the cutlery you will use! Start with a Chef’s knife, paring knife and honing steel.

  • Knife Set -Now if you don’t want to build your own and just want a really good set… these are it. I have these and they are really good but i still wish i would have just build my own to begin with.

  • Best Chef’s Knife – This is the best for the money, used in commercial kitchens

  • Cold Steel Chef’s Knife – If you are on a budget buy still want a knife that will last 20 years

  • Cimeter Knife – This long blade knife is great to portioning out meat or slicing thin. Also, when cutting a watermelon or spaghetti squash this will be your friend.

  • Santoku – This is one of my favorites. When you want to chop rather then slice or rock. A staple in every kitchen.

  • Bread Knife – When cutting up your homemade bread or clicing up a french roll… this is the only serrated knife you need in the kitchen.

  • Pairing Knife – You need one of these. Great for detailed work..

  • Boning Knife – To separate meat from bones, trim, and slice meats. So nice to in the kitchen.

  • Cleaver – There are cheaper ones out there but this one will last and you will be able to chop through bones with out bending the blade.

  • Steak Knifes – This is a great set and will match the look of your silverware

  • Honing Steel – To keep your blades sharp and strait you MUST have this! Will last a lifetime!

  • Ceramic Honing Rod – This one is better than the steel one but you must take care of it. If you drop this rod it will break.
